Dan began his Young Life journey as a high schooler in Santa Barbara, California, and started his relationship with the Lord there. Dan joined Young Life staff in 1982 and has served ever since in various roles: area director (Sacramento, CA, Colorado Springs, CO); Pikes Peak regional director; director of Leadership Development for Young Life in Africa, Asia, and Latin America; senior vice president in Latin America and the Caribbean; and most recently as group senior vice president. He now currently serves Young Life as the International Learning and Leadership executive advisor.
Dan was married for 42 years to his wife, Elizabeth, who passed away in 2024. He has three married adult sons, Taylor, Kevin, and Brian; and four grandchildren.
